This is not that girl, the one you see in the picture, wearing a Moby Wrap, a Bandanna (because she didn't fix her hair today, and sporting the apron she just finished with a friend the night before.

No, that immature, reckless, vain, young girl is gone.
A real woman is left in her place.
A woman that budgets and realizes that it's a must and not just another dirty word.
A woman that cans her own food and knows what a Blancher is (Ok, so I actually just looked that up, but now I know what it is).
A woman who enjoys knitting and sewing. Even though buying it would be cheaper and faster.
Yes, a real live woman has been awoken. On the day of her 26th birthday a week and a half ago, she realized that she had entered the World of Womanhood.
Ok, so for real.
All of the sudden I feel that I am grown up, and that probably sounds funny to those of you who are older than I am.
I still find myself, being silly, gossipy on occasion (I'm trying to quit), hot headed, and self absorbed, but I felt that when I turned 26 I had come a long way.
It's amazing to me that the people you surround yourself with can change you, make you better, make you look at your life and realize that you want to be better, different.
I feel that I have become more of a homemaker in this last year, than I ever have in my other 5 "adult years".
It's a good feeling. I hope that I will inspire and help others who were much like myself enter the World of Womanhood.
Trust me the World of Womanhood is not for the faint of heart.

You are so FUNNY; I always love your posts. I have been thinking about the same thing a lot lately. Who am I? I'm not the crazy girl who starts water fights at 2 in the morning; but telling my kids to stop splashing in the bath. I’m not pondering in my closet trying to decide what to wear for the day; but grabbing a shirt that doesn’t require an iron because I’m worn-out from dressing two kiddos while they are running/crawling away.
And I never thought you were hot headed and self absorbed. Thanks for you post!!
That's so funny I was just talking about this with some other ladies, just the other day. They asked if you saw your self 10yrs ago would you even recognize yourself? I thought that was an interesting question. I hope I've changed for the better. But seriously, Your the best, your so dang cute! and so crafty and fun with your kids. Keep it up Womenhood Rocks!

Doesn't it feel good to look back and feel like you've made progress? Especially after a day that seems mediocre. :) I love how happy you are as a mom- that's admirable.
Hey there! Its been a long time and I haven't had internet forever but it is awesome to look on here and see what you have been up to. Reading this post made me miss you all over again! Kyle and I are still talking about coming to Rexburg this coming summer and we'd love to see you if we can. We will have one more visitor than you might have expected though. I have an 8 week old little man who would love to meet you. My how time flies!
